FUNERAL HOME
Mrs. Fisher attended Indiana School for the Blind. She loved to cook for her family and friends, and equally enjoyed gardening. She worked in the Social Security Office in Indianapolis, retiring after 20 years.
She was born Jan. 28, 1935, in Hallie, Ky. to William and Nancy Griffie Whitaker. She married James Fisher on July 20, 1952, and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, Brian (Robin) of Frankfort; a daughter, Dotti (Kevin) Thomas of Frankfort; three sisters, Mary Horton of North Vernon, Martha Fredrick of Hanover and Nancy Jane Deford of Peru; one grandchild, Ryan (Hadley) Thomas of Frankfort; and two great-grandchildren, Blake and Dylan Thomas.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Genda Funeral Home, 608 N. Main St., Frankfort, with Clinton Meharry officiating. Burial will be in Kilmore Cemetery. Calling will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
