FUNERAL HOME
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a mother. She graduated from Kirklin High School in 1937 and lived most of her life in Clinton County. She was a 4-H leader of the Jackson Merry Maids and was a member of Pleasant Hill Church and its Ladies Aid. Devotion to her family was shown through strong family ties.

She was born Sept. 20, 1919, in Tipton County to James P. and Hester Illges Wilkins. She married Mike Davis on March 12, 1939, and he died Jan. 17,1996.

Surviving are a son, Jerry L. (Louise) of rural Frankfort; three daughters, Carolyn S. Davis of Covington, Beverly J. (Jack) Kauffman of West Lafayette and Betty J. (Lee) Williams of Veedersburg; a sister, Sara Hennigar of Green Valley, Ariz.; and a brother, Gerald Wilkins of Port Charlotte, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

One sister, Mary Hall, preceded her in death.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Genda Funeral Home with the Pastor Dean Cooper. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church.
Mildred L. Davis, 88, formerly of rural Frankfort, died at 2 a.m. Oct. 21, 2007, in St. Anthony Health Care of Lafayette.
