Evelyn L. Clark, 91, of Frankfort, IN, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.
She was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Attica, IN, to James B. and Bessie (Clawson) Wilson, and graduated from Attica High School in 1933.
On Feb. 8, 1936, she married James S. Clark in Attica. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1986.
She moved to Frankfort in 1946 when her husband opened Clark Furniture & Appliance. She was a secretary for Ryan & Hartzell Law Office for 37 years.
Mrs. Clark was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, where she formerly taught Sunday School.
Surviving is one sister, Gwendolyn Burns of Frankfort, three nephews, Michael Burns of Noblesville, IN, Mark Burns of Frankfort and John Wilson of Bay City, MI.
One brother, Gerald Wilson, preceded her in death.
Calling hours 1-2 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007, Genda Funeral Home, 608 N. Main St., Frankfort, with service following at 2 p.m. there. Pastor Jean Brindel will officiate. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
