FUNERAL HOME
Curtis Lynn McKinzie, 62, rural Frankfort, IN, died at 12:20 a.m. July 14, 2007, in Lafayette Home Hospital.
Mr. McKinzie graduated from Frankfort High School in 1964. He was warehouse manager at Exide Battery for many years. He then worked as shipping director at Lake Erie Screw until he retired on Dec. 21, 2006.
He was a member of the Moose. He enjoyed life and people, and was a friend to many.
He was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Frankfort to Curtis and Marjorie (Lipp) McKinzie. He married Judy Rice on July 4, 1965, and they divorced. He married Judy Amos, and they also divorced. He married Lola Marge Hicks on June 21, 1993, and she survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Jane (Rex) Rothenberger of Frankfort; one son, C. Albert (Kris) of Frankfort; two stepsons, Steven and Scott Phillips of Frankfort; two sisters, Norma Clark and Sandra (Jack) Hawkins, both of Lafayette; and 13 grandchildren.
One brother, Eddie, preceded him in death.
Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Genda Funeral Home, 608 N. Main St., Frankfort, IN, with Jimmy Clark officiating. Burial will be in Kilmore Cemetery. Calling will begin at 2 p.m.
For those who knew him, there will be a celebration of his life with a toast and fireworks at 8 p.m. Sunday at his home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
