Taylor Walker Emens
Taylor graduated from Michigantown Schools in 1939. He was a WWII Army Veteran from 1942-1945 in the 14th Armored Infantry Division and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church since 1948, former Deacon and Elder. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 12 where he was a past commander in 1965, the VFW and Disabled American Veterans. Taylor wintered in Ft. Myers, FL for 23 years and moved to Wesley Manor in October of 2006.
He married Ruth Paris Emens on August 8, 1943 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and she survives him.
Survivors include his Wife of Frankfort; 1 Son- Stanley Emens of Rural Frankfort; 1 Daughter- Jan Emens Racer (husband Hank) of Orange Park, FL; 4 Grandchildren- Michael Emens (wife Stefanie) Emens of Rural Frankfort, Christa Snyder Manahan (husband Nathan) of Carmel, IN, Laura Snyder Sharbaugh (husband Curt) of Clearwater, FL, Elizabeth Racer Hooks (husband Christopher) Austin, TX; 6 Great Grandchildren- Ashley & Cole Emens, Audra & Campbell Manahan, Micah & Mackenna Sharbaugh.
He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Judith Ann Emens Snyder in 1989.
Calling hours will be from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M., Sunday July 20th, 2008 at the Genda Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 21st, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Genda Funeral Home with Donna Enersen & Mack Paris officiating. Burial will be at the Hopewell Cemetery.
Memorials to: the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church.

Taylor Walker Emens, 87, a resident of rural Frankfort, Indiana died on Friday July 18th, 2008 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community. He was born on March 26, 1921 in Clinton County, IN to
