Bill L. Johnson
Bill L. Johnson, 78, of 700 Glendale Drive Frankfort, IN died on August 1, 2008 at
St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on December 23, 1929 in Camden, Indiana to parents Edward E. and Stella (McDowell) Johnson.
He was a graduate of Camden Schools in 1949 and attended a meat cutting school in Toledo, OH. He moved from Camden IN to Frankfort in 1968.
Bill was an owner operator of Johnson Grocery from 1960-68 in Camden, Indiana and Fudge’s Market in Frankfort from 1968-80 then he finished his career as a butcher at Marsh Supermarket after 14 years retiring in 1991.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
He married Mary Lou Sharp on January 21, 1957 and she survives him.
Survivors include his wife of Frankfort; one daughter, Karen Frank of Woodinville WA; two sons, Larry D. (wife Debbie) of Pulaski New York and Michael T. (wife Diane) of Orlando FL; one brother, Garth Johnson of Valparaiso IN and four Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Edward.
Funeral services are Monday, August 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Frankfort with Pastor Tom Jameson officiating. Calling is one hour prior to services at the church.
