James Robert Snodgrass
James Robert Snodgrass, 81, of 4221 W. New Castle Rd., Frankfort died on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at
St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. He was born on January 24, 1928 in Forest, IN to parents Manford Forest & Hazel Ruth (Hillis) Snodgrass.
He attended Forest & Michigantown Schools and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for CSX Railroad and Monon Railroad as a car repairman for 30 years and farmed with Franklin Moses. He was a member of TCU, the VFW, the American Legion, Old Rails and the Eagles Lodge. He attended the United Methodist Church.
James married Donnabelle Gard on December 3, 1945, and they divorced in 1978. He later married Louise Carey on September 15, 1984, and she predeceased him.
Survivors include Four daughters, Connie S. (husband Shadey) Lane of Frankfort, Joyce A. (husband Denny) Kanatzer of Frankfort, Cynthia R. Cox of Frankfort & Jean (husband John) Cullen of Portage, IN, Two sons, Robert Duane (wife Linda Jane) Terry of Indianapolis & Orville William (wife Lisa) Terry of Terre Haute, One sister, Zora Stanton of Avon, IN as well as 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Chandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
