Ruby Mae Greeno Abbott
Ruby Mae Greeno Abbott, 92, of Danville, Illinois died at 4:35 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. She was born April 22, 1917 to the late Frank and Rosella Burke Greeno. She lived in Frankfort before moving to Danville, Illinois.
Ruby married Lewis Franklin Abbott in 1935 and he died in 1945. Ruby then married Lewis Wayne Warren and they divorced.
Ruby worked at St. E, Lakeview, VA Hospitals and the Americana Nursing Home as a nurse aide.
She is survived by four sons Dennis Warren and Paul Warren of Danville, Illinois; Bill (Wife Maria) Abbott of Tilton, Illinois and Larry (Wife Sarah) Abbott of Frankfort, Indiana and three daughters Patty Christensen of Danville, Illinois, Joyce (Husband Robert) Galvin of Frankfort, Indiana and Linda Gordon of Kokomo, Indiana; 16 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009 at Genda Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 AM. Pastor Phil Holdman will officiate. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
Calling hours are 4-8 PM Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the funeral home.
